June is Dairy Month and time to celebrate! It was started in 1937 by grocer organizations sponsoring "National Milk Month." By
1939, it became "Dairy Month," promoting the use of all dairy foods and saluting America's dairy farmers. June
Dairy Month has become a time to honor the contributions of dairy farmers and their families who work hard every
day to provide fresh, wholesome milk and milk products for all of us to enjoy. You can join in this month-long
salute to the dairy industry by creating or participating in one of the many local, county, or state events planned
to pay tribute to the dairy farm families throughout the Southeast.
