Columbia-Area Resident Named “Cheesiest” by Domino’s Pizza® and the Southeast Dairy Association
Domino’s Pizza® and the Southeast Dairy Association selected Alannah Gonda of Lexington, S.C. as the grand prize winner of the “American Legends Cheesiest Photo Contest.” Gonda was chosen from nearly 300 entrants for her “cheesy” smile, winning one year of free Domino’s pizza valued at more than $1,000.
During the contest, which ran April 25-May 16, a camera-wielding street team appeared at festivals, sporting events and Domino’s locations throughout Columbia, S.C. to capture participants’ “cheesiest” pose for a chance at the grand prize. All participants received a buy-one-get-one free coupon for the newly launched Domino’s American Legends® Pizza, which has 40 percent more cheese than other pizzas.
“More than 60,000 U.S. dairy farms work hard to provide fresh, wholesome dairy foods, including the extra cheese on American Legends Pizzas, that build strong bones and healthy bodies,” said Janet Grubbs, manager of communications and nutrition for the Southeast Dairy Association.
The seven varieties of American Legends Pizza were inspired by the legendary great tastes of America: Honolulu Hawaiian, Fiery Hawaiian, Philly Cheese Steak, Cali Chicken Bacon Ranch, Memphis BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken and Pacific Veggie.
“Domino’s focus on freshness and quality makes our partnership with the Southeast Dairy Association a natural fit. The American Legends Pizzas have a bold taste and also help make it easy for consumers to get the recommended three servings of dairy each day,” said Greg Fox, Domino’s area franchisee.
