Carolina Panthers' Muhsin Muhammad Signs as a 2009-2010 Southeast Dairy Association Spokesperson
Muhsin Muhammad was selected as the 2009-2010 Southeast United Dairy Industry Association (SUDIA) spokesperson from the Carolina Panthers.
As a SUDIA spokesperson, Muhammad inspires students to live active and healthy lifestyles by encouraging participation in the “Fuel Up To Play 60” (FUTP60) program.
FUTP60 is a youth-based program that encourages students to exercise 60 minutes each day and eat a well balanced diet, including low-fat and fat-free dairy.
Muhammad, 36, is a wide receiver and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 1996 and served as a two time Pro Bowl member while playing as a Carolina Panther. During Super Bowl XXXVIII, Muhammad recorded the longest touchdown reception in Super Bowl history.
In 1999 the Carolina Panthers awarded Muhammad with the organization’s Man of the Year award for his hours of volunteer work with various charity groups.
“Muhammad’s achievements and dedication to living an active and healthy lifestyle make him a great role model for children,” said Dottie Ryan, SUDIA’s school program director. “The FUTP60 program is a great way for students to learn about the importance of physical activity and nutrition.”
