NFL Partners - Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans
The Southeast Dairy Association and Tennessee Titans have partnered to bring health and nutrition education to the youth of Tennessee. The organizations’ goals are to encourage children to fuel up to play and implement healthier eating habits in their lives, including consuming the necessary 3 servings daily of milk, cheese or yogurt to build strong bones and committing to 60 minutes of physical activity every day. The collaboration combines the nutrition expertise of the Southeast Dairy Association and the fitness expertise of the NFL to give children the tools and resources needed to change their personal health habits.

Bluff City Middle School Participates in New Wellness Program; Fuel Up to Play 60
Bluff City, Tenn. – On November 9 the Southeast United Dairy Industry Association (SUDIA) and Bluff City Middle School (BCMS) launched a new wellness program, Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP60), aimed to combat childhood obesity.
This youth-led program empowers children and teens to live activity and healthy lifestyles by exercising for 60 minutes each day and eating nutrient-rich foods including low-fat and fat-free dairy.
To further encourage program participation, BCMS provided students with pedometers to help them track their walking.
To celebrate the launch of the new program, BCMS students competed in relay races and attended a FUTP60 kick-off pep rally.
“The FUTP60 program is a great way to inspire students to maintain personal wellness by exercising and eating healthy foods such as dairy,” said Jill Henderson, SUDIA’s program account manager of Tennessee.

Titans Linebacker Visits Tennessee Pediatricians
David Thornton, Tennessee Titans linebacker and Titans Community Man of the Year, joined Tracy Noerper, registered dietitian with the Southeast Dairy Association (SUDIA), at the April 25 Board of Directors meeting of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
With Tennessee the fourth-ranked state in the number of overweight adolescents, the state’s pediatricians play a vital role in educating children and their parents on diet and nutrition. Thornton discussed the importance of nutritious foods and exercise with the pediatricians.
“SUDIA and the Titans health and nutrition education partnership empowers children to adopt healthier behaviors, such as fueling up with food groups kids don’t get enough of, including 3 servings a day of low fat and fat free milk, cheese or yogurt for strong bones and healthy bodies, and to getting up and playing 60 minutes every day,” Thornton said.
